Gentlemen,

We had an unfortunate situation during the Fall-2022 Leather ball league Div E game between It’s time for Cricket(ITC) and Longhorns 2nd XI. One of the players that played for King Cobras Rebel Risers team in the game against Plano Stars earlier in the Div C leather league game also played game for It’s time for Cricket(ITC) against Longhorns 2nd XI in their Div E leather league game. DCL rules and bylaws strictly prohibit players from playing for more than one team in the same tournament. Hence, the following decisions/actions have been taken by the DCL Management.

The Div E match between It’s time for Cricket(ITC) and Longhorns 2nd XI has been awarded to Longhorns 2nd XI;

1. Effect Immediately, Sai Kiran Valaboju the player that played for King Cobras Rebel Risers as well as It’s time for Cricket(ITC) teams has been suspended from playing for the next 3 games.

2. Raghuramprasad Kottur, being the captain of the It’s time for Cricket(ITC) team, is suspended for 1  game during this 2022 Fall Div E leather ball league. He will need to sit out the next game of the team. He should have been a role model and should have immediately brought this to DCL Management's attention.

3. King Cobras Rebel Risers is also warned to update players on Chauka and DCL website properly so this kind of issue doesn't occur again.

Every team is requested to update the correct player name on both Chauka and DCL Websites to help DCL.

The DCL management understands that this may not be an intentional act by the It’s time for Cricket(ITC) captain; however, it’s the captain’s responsibility to do the necessary due diligence before recruiting a new player to the team and to make sure the team understands and follows the DCL Rules and bylaws.
If the Captain or the Vice Captain is not sure about any player who plays in DCL/DLCL they can always send an email to dclmgmt@gmail.com and ask them to check the DCL/DLCL database to find out about the player details. We hope that this will serve as a deterrent to all the teams and the players to indulge in such activities. DCL Management will not hesitate to take harsher actions to curb such activities by players and captains in order to make the DCL community stronger.
